**💜 VALLISOLETANAS 💜**

illustrated map about illustrious women from valladolid, SPAIN

A map that started at school and ended up being part of the Splora exhibition What the fun!

VALLISOLETANAS is an illustrated map that was born when I was still studying at the Valladolid School of Arts (EAVA) in 2022.

It allowed me discover and study all these 9 amazing women that once lived in my city and I remember I enjoyed it SO much. I felt so passionate about it.

This was the first end result! (2022)

It was a much more classic approach, my style wasn’t really developed at that time. But I felt really proud of it whatsoever, and knew this project wouldn’t stay just as a school project.

And so at the end of 2024, an opportunity appeared. Fundación Splora was looking for maps related to my city to show them around Europe in an exhibition along with other city maps.

It was the best chance for my map.

But… After more than 2 years of drawing… I didn’t feel my map was “mine”.

The style had nothing to do with my style in 2024.

SO I REMADE IT.
