juSTO AQUÍ / RIGHT HERE IS A PICTURE BOOK THAT TELLS THE STORY OF DANI.
Something we don’t know happened to her when little -and it doesn’t really matter what it was-, but it affected her negatively, minored her self-esteem and made her insecure and fearful facing life. She knows something’s off and is determined to change the situation.
JUSTO AQUÍ is a story I needed to tell from the heart of my adult self to the heart of my child self. I owed it to her from the moment I started going to therapy and realised that the person I needed the most, was myself.
I started with a rough script that I SPLIT UP by parts that made sense to me visually to tell the story.
THEN, I BEGAN SEARCHING FOR THE CHARACTER
Even though the story is mainly based on myself, I wanted it to feel relatable to anyone, so I didn't create the character based on myself.

This is a back-and-force process along with drawing the final scketches and refining how I want to tell the story.
